Chief Executive Officer
Paul is responsible for carrying out the policies of the board of directors and is responsible for the day to day operations of the company. Paul co-founded Minster in January 2001. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry and the Medicines Control Agency, now known as the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency. From 1991 to 1998 he was with SmithKline Beecham plc as Vice President, Neuroscience Project Management. In this capacity he had major roles in the development of Paxil/Seroxat and Requip. He developed an R&D portfolio management process at SmithKline Beecham plc, which was featured in the Harvard Business Review, March-April 1998. After leaving Smithkline Beecham plc in 1998, he joined Oxis International Inc, a NASDAQ quoted company, becoming chief executive officer, and leaving in 2000 before establishing Minster Research. Paul is also Visiting Professor in Pharmaceutical Medicine at Imperial College, London.
  
Robert Aubrey MBA, BSc (Eng)
Chief Financial Officer
Robert is a co-founder of Minster and is responsible for finances and internal control procedures. He is a graduate of the New York Stern Business School and has extensive senior management experience in international businesses, including Staveley Industries plc and Westinghouse Electric Corp Inc, and has been instrumental in the formation of several hi-tech companies. He has also taken general management roles in venture capital start-up companies and is experienced in the commercialisation of university technology spin-outs.
  
Dr Peter Blower, PhD, DSc, CBiol, FIBiol
Chief Technical Officer
Peter is responsible for the development programmes the company undertakes. He was previously Director of New Neuroscience Products at SmithKline Beecham. He has more than 30 years’ experience in pharmaceutical research and development and strategic marketing with SmithKline Beecham plc. He worked directly with Dr Sharpe on both tonabersat and sabcomeline while at SmithKline Beecham plc. Peter also provides consultation and strategic marketing services to the pharmaceutical industry and governmental agencies. He is a non executive director of Phytopharm plc.
